 If you have accounts with Axis Bank, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Federal Bank, ICICI Bank, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Karur Vysya Bank, and Kotak Mahindra Bank, you can use the e-filing Portal to pay your taxes.

1. Go to the Income Tax e-Filing website and navigate to the e-Pay Tax page.
2. To obtain an OTP, enter your PAN, confirm your PAN, and cellphone number

After 4-5 business days of making payments on the NSDL (now Protean) portal, proceed to step 2 and submit the Aadhaar linkage request on the e-Filing portal.

1. Go to the online filing site > Login > Click “Link Aadhaar” or “Link Aadhar” in the personal details on the Dashboard, under the Link Aadhaar to PAN option.
2. After inputting your PAN and Aadhaar numbers, click “Validate.”
3.  If you have paid a challan via the NSDL (Protean) Portal and your payment information is verified by e-filing, your PAN and Aadhaar will be validated, and you will receive a pop-up notice saying, “Your payments details are verified.” To submit an Aadhaar link request, click “Continue” on the pop-up dialog.
4. Enter the required information and click the “Link Aadhaar” button.
5. Enter the 6-digit OTP sent to the mobile number you provided in step 1 through text message.
6. Your registration to link your Aadhaar and PAN was completed successfully, and you can now monitor the status of that link.
